Chernobyl and Pripyat

Just some quick pics from my visit to Chernobyl and Pripyat...
It was very cold in the Ukraine (-16) but we got a lovely sunset...

The fairground in Pripyat. It was never used, due to open on the 1st of may 4 days after the accident.

Stockport Clock Tower

Well I spotted this place on my way home from work, so I decided to come back later on in the night to have a look. I'm so glad that I did 
So with my Ruck Sack on my back I made my infiltration to this site. I even think that an elite member of the British Special Services would have been proud of my unique entrance style. Now this was the tricky bit, when I was climbing higher and higher to the top of the scaffolding some stones little and medium size were being knocked off the planks of wood by me to the ground below, “ting, ring, klink, bang”. There was some falling stones that was that loud that I thought would of at any minute in time get me caught with my assent to the top of this site.
However, I continued to make my progress then all of a sudden I was there at the top of the Clock Tower and was now overlooking Stockport in all her glory. I did try to minimise my “painting by light” images to their minimum as yet again “bright beams of light” are defiantly another way of saying to people like Security “Hey I’m up here, come get me”.
Also I tried out my brand new lens and came to the conclusion that it is not very good for Night Photography as ideally you want to use a real fast lens well that’s in my honest opinion. So I quickly switched lens and had a smoke and shoot some more decent images prior to my descent from the top.
“ting, ring, klink, bang”. Yes, it was all happening again on my descent, then when I reached the bottom I quickly made my exit from this site. But the split second after I had excited the site, a Security Guard walked around the corner hmmm? Did them falling stones give me away?

New Weblinks Section

Hi guys, been working hard today on new bits for the site and have just created a new basic weblinks section for urbex related sites.
If you know of any please add them, also if anyone has any category ideas or other ideas for that section let us know!

New Options on sites section

MrDimmu and Me thought would be a good idea to add in a site status field onto the sites section. Basically you can set what is happening currently with a site when you add it. Say its being demolished or something to save people from checking it out only to find its not there anymore.
Anyway, can anyone who has added any sites on last week do a little update and set this for us.
